Trustees heard two presentations Dec. 18 on the district's facility needs and financing options as the Facility Committee continues planning. John Blackburn of Live Oak Public Finance outlined municipal services financing and modeled different tax and financial capacity scenarios the district might face if it called a bond election. Gallagher Construction representatives Greg Decker and Terry Merck then presented several budget options for facility improvements across the district.
The superintendent reported roofing work is approximately 50% complete on the current project, describing the remaining phases as gravel placement followed by metal work (gutters, flashing, trim and fasteners). A Facility Committee meeting with Gallagher Construction and Live Oak was described as productive, and the superintendent said a fourth committee meeting is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 21, 2026. The presentations were framed as informational; trustees did not take action on a bond at this meeting.
