Auditor Dan Tonn told the Pilot Point ISD Board on Jan. 14 that the district's 2024-25 financial audit received an unmodified opinion, the highest level of assurance, with no findings or compliance issues.
As reported in the meeting minutes, the district's general fund balance at year-end was recorded as $9,383,211 and the debt service fund balance was recorded as $5,881,066. Mr. Tonn explained that the audit presentation was delayed past the usual October timeframe because of external factors involving the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the Texas Education Agency (TEA), and he emphasized that the district remained in compliance.
The minutes note that board members will discuss and consider the 2024-2025 Audit Report for formal approval at a special meeting scheduled for Jan. 19, 2026.
"The District received an unmodified report, the highest level possible, indicating no findings or compliance issues and a strong financial position," the minutes state.
