Pewitt CISD board approves 2026 election arrangements and county services

The Pewitt Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Jan. 12 to approve the Notice of General Election and the Order of School Board Trustee Election for the district's 2026 trustee election, and to enter a 2026 Joint Election Agreement to coordinate the election with other jurisdictions. The motions were approved in sequence after routine presentation; the Notice and Order were moved by Seth Hodges and Justin Green, respectively, and seconded by Ryan Bailey.
The board also approved a contract with Morris County for election services to administer portions of the upcoming election, a motion made by Mark McCoy and seconded by Justin Green. The minutes record the vote as unanimous. "Reconvened at 6:41pm." The approvals formalize administrative steps the district must take ahead of the election calendar and delegate operational work to the county election office.
