Superintendent announces early release for playoff trip; staff and students recognized

Superintendent Dr. Kendra Pittman updated the Board on district highlights and events, reporting that Peaster ISD will have an early release day on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, to support the football team as it advances to the playoffs in Childress, Texas. She said the football and volleyball programs are performing well and announced the annual Christmas Tree Lighting will take place the second Saturday in December.
Dr. Pittman and the Board recognized Employees of the Month (Kit Granstaff; Terisa Brewer; Michelle Batten; Steve Phillips; Callie White; Larry Swonger) and named Superintendent Star Students and a student spotlight for band, cross country and National College Board honors (several students listed by name). These recognitions were presented during the superintendent's report portion of the meeting.
