Pasadena ISD approves internship agreement with UH, $30,000 CASE grant and small campus partnership

The board approved multiple educational partnerships and grant-related agreements Nov. 18. First, the district authorized a three-year interlocal agreement with the University of Houston allowing J. Frank Dobie High School to serve as a clinical/preceptor internship site for UH Master of Athletic Training students at no cost to the district.
The board also approved a $30,000 Harris County Department of Education CASE for Kids Partnership grant award for Frazier Elementary and the corresponding interlocal agreement. Separately, the board approved an agreement between Sparks Elementary and the Texas Parks and Wildlife program Texas Outdoor Family at a cost of $500 to be paid from local funds.
All items were approved by unanimous votes. The minutes list the interlocal term as three years and record the grant amounts and the $500 local-fund agreement; the board directed staff to execute the corresponding agreements.
