He said the district has 18 strategic-plan goals and that, while many show progress, five goals tied to student experience saw dips in results.
Wright gave the numbers directly to staff: "The very 1st year we did this, 58 percent of our students responded by saying yes. Last year, it dropped to 53 percent," he said when discussing whether students feel physically and emotionally safe. He also noted a larger drop on purpose indicators—"We went from 59% all the way to 50%"—and asked students and staff how to reverse those trends through relationships, exposure to programs and transparency.
