Trustees reminded to complete training; November election and next meeting set

Board President Dr. Shannon Caddell reminded trustees to complete annual continuing education by Oct. 31; trustees will meet in a scheduled continuing education session after the Oct. 20 meeting and the next regular meeting is Nov. 17, 2025; trustees up for election will appear on Nov. 4 ballot with early voting already started Oct. 20.
Board President Dr. Shannon Caddell reminded trustees that each trustee must complete required continuing education hours annually and that most, but not all, trustees had met the requirements; those with outstanding hours were given until Oct. 31 to finish. Caddell also announced the board would participate in a continuing education session immediately following the Oct. 20 meeting to meet Team Building and Post-Legislative Update training requirements.
Superintendent Robyn Gibson and staff noted that Nov. 4 is election day for PISD School Board Trustees up for election and that early voting began Oct. 20. The next regular board meeting was scheduled for Nov. 17, 2025.
