Paradise ISD holds public hearing on proposed 2025–26 tax rates

The Board of Trustees of Paradise ISD met in a public hearing on Aug. 25, 2025, at 7:30 a.m. in the district board room to review tax-rate options tied to the 2025–26 budget. Board President Dr. Shannon Caddell called the meeting to order and confirmed a quorum.
The district’s agenda listed the proposed tax rates for 2025–26 as 0.6692 per $100 for Maintenance and Operations and 0.42 per $100 for Interest and Sinking. Those figures will inform the tax rate the board ultimately adopts as part of the budget process for the coming school year. No members of the public spoke during the allotted public-comment period.
After the hearing items were presented, a motion to adjourn was made by Trent Murphy and seconded by Renea Remmele; the motion carried 5–0 and the meeting ended at 7:32 a.m. The minutes header records that these minutes were approved on September 15, 2025.
