Pampa ISD to close on 1442 Russell property; roofs and PHS construction remain on schedule

Troy McClendon, Pampa ISD director of operations, updated the board on multiple facilities projects and a pending property purchase. He said the district will close next week on the 1442 Russell property and reviewed the footprint and dirt-work schedule for a new agricultural facility; dirt work is expected to begin the week after Christmas.
Roof projects were reported as on pace: the tear-off at Pampa Junior High is complete and work at Wilson Elementary is underway, both expected to finish by mid-January. McClendon said the Pampa High School roofing project will begin in February; concrete work and steel erection at PHS are already underway and the project remains on schedule for an April 2027 completion. After high-school site work is finished, crews will shift to Travis Elementary.
