Pampa ISD reports bond progress: PHS demolition complete, major projects under way with $68.9M remaining

Angel Grant, Pampa ISD finance manager, gave the board a quarterly update on the district’s 2023 bond program. Completed work includes the Pampa High School demolition (final cost $1,237,487.63; project savings $254,953.32) and the Austin parking lot (final cost $676,748.81; project savings $92,857.47). Bond proceeds sold total $72,000,000; investment income is $3,445,259.61; expenses to date total $6,541,399.27, leaving a current balance of $68,903,860.34.
Grant said projects in progress include the PHS CTE and classroom addition (14.82% complete; estimated remaining construction cost $19,532,885.00), an agricultural storage facility (1.64% complete; estimated remaining $567,371.00), and Travis demo and dirt work (1.42% complete; estimated remaining $883,136.00). Travis addition and renovation had not started and an estimated remaining cost was not specified in the report.
