PISD operations reports multiple completed projects; HVAC study set for Sept. 10
Summary
Director of Operations Troy McClendon reported completed roofing projects (Lamar, Travis, Austin), a finished parking lot at Austin, completion of the PHS track (cosmetic dispute under review), Wilson Elementary roofing scheduled for Sept.–Nov., and a facilities committee meeting Sept. 10 for Administration Building HVAC presentations.
Troy McClendon, PISD Director of Operations, briefed the board on multiple facilities projects and upcoming work.
McClendon reported roofing projects at Lamar, Travis, and Austin are complete; the Austin parking lot project is finished and draining well; the PHS track project is complete though a dispute over final payment remains under review because of cosmetic issues. He said Page & Associates plan to order bulk supplies and the district is researching storage options. Wilson Elementary roofing is slated to begin in September with completion expected in November. The facilities committee will meet Sept. 10 to hear presentations from three companies regarding the Administration Building HVAC system.
The update combined completed work, procurement planning, and a schedule for an upcoming vendor evaluation for HVAC improvements.
