Council approves minutes, pays bills and tables camping ordinance; executive session convened

The Nutter Fort Town Council approved the minutes from its Oct. 8, 2024 meeting after Councilor Charlene Louk moved to accept and Councilor Karen Phillips seconded; the motion passed by unanimous vote.
Council also approved the accounts payable items presented on a handout by unanimous vote after a motion from Councilor Charlene Louk and a second from Councilor Karen Phillips. The council recorded no recorded dissents for these routine financial actions.
On a separate motion, Councilor Charlene Louk moved to table Ordinance #2024-12, an ordinance prohibiting camping on public and unauthorized private property, "until more information could be gathered," a motion seconded by Recorder Natalie K. Haddix and approved unanimously. Later in the meeting, Louk moved, and Karen Phillips seconded, to enter an executive session to discuss legal matters; the motion passed and the council reconvened and ended the executive session at 7:27 p.m.
The meeting adjourned by acclamation at 7:27 p.m.
