Coastal Carolina's Department of Theater honored for 'The Black Pearl' portraying Atlantic Beach history

"On behalf of the Horry County Historic Preservation Commission, in recognition of their outstanding commitment the historic preservation in Horry County, this plaque is presented ... to Coastal Carolina University's Department of Theater presents The Black Pearl," the presenter said. Coastal representatives accepted the honor and thanked the commission, faculty (Steven Higginbotham) and students for bringing local stories to life through performance.
