Committee approves carry-forward resolution to preserve accommodation-tax funds for beach renourishment

She explained the county prepares this type of resolution periodically to retain discretion over beach-related expenditures when projects are delayed or only partially funded.
"We are asking you to adopt this resolution, which we prepare every couple of years that allows us the discretion to carry forward funds for beach renourishment or any other beach related expenditure that is not fully funded," Norman said. The committee approved the resolution by voice vote so staff can continue to allocate funds across fiscal cycles for nourishment and erosion-control projects.
