Steuben County begins work on Local Services Plan 2026 with focus on opioids, staffing, housing and transport

Lynn Gramley said the Local Services Plan for 2026 is a four-year plan; many past goals are complete and several remain active. She said one proposal is to change the procedure for distributing opioid funds from an RFP process to an application-based process, and listed additional priorities: addressing staffing shortages, housing, transportation and increased respite for children.
Gramley noted existing contracts with Pathways and Glove House for foster homes and community residences and invited board members to email suggestions for the plan. The update was informational; no formal amendments to the plan were adopted at the meeting.
