Chair Myra Carlisle Frazier called the regular session of the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners to order at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, in Commission Room #109 of the Cherokee County Courthouse at 110 W Maple St., Columbus, Kansas. The meeting opened with prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes list those present: Commissioners Jack Garner, Cory Moates and Myra Frazier; County Counselor Kurt Benecke; Road and Bridge Office Manager Joni Hicks; County Deputy Clerk Michelle Mosler; and attendees Thomas Niegisch, Shawn Churchill, Toni Spieth, Galena Sentinel Times Editor Machelle Smith and News Report owner Larry Hiatt. At 9:08 a.m., Commissioner Frazier moved to adjourn; Commissioner Moates seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
