The board approved a bond resolution authorizing issuance of debt up to $135,000 to finance purchase of a heavy‑duty backhoe/loader and related equipment for the Department of Public Works. The mayor described an expected intergovernmental split under which the town will reimburse part of the cost.
Mayor Halley summarized the action: “There's a bond resolution for the village, Greenwood Lake, authorizing the issuance of bonds in a principal amount not to exceed a 135,000 to finance the acquisition of a heavy duty, vehicle, backhoe, loader, including equipment thereto. Stating the estimated max cost thereof is a 135, and the appropriate set amount for such purpose.” The board moved and approved the bond resolution during the resolutions section of the meeting.
The purchase was described as necessary equipment replacement for DPW operations; the village expects partial reimbursement from the town (stated as a split), but precise reimbursement figures were not read into the record.
