During the July 15 meeting trustees approved consecutive resolutions to appoint three part-time dispatchers for the Greenwood Lake Police Department at a pay rate of $21.71 an hour: Kyle Pavlicek, Thomas Deckard and Jillian Cassidy. Each appointment was moved, seconded and passed with ayes recorded by the board.
The board also authorized a change in hourly pay for part-time groundskeeper Joseph McNamee, raising his pay to $21 per hour in recognition of his service. "He's an excellent worker, and we felt it was necessary to rate his pay to $21 per hour," Mayor Howley said when offering the resolution.
Why it matters: These personnel changes affect public-safety staffing and grounds maintenance budgets; the dispatch hires add capacity to the police communications function and the groundskeeper raise formalizes a pay increase.
