The Village Board of Greenwood Lake approved resolutions to hire two part‑time police officers, authorizing Giancarlo DiLorenzo and Abram Steinfeld to join the department effective immediately, subject to civil‑service rules.
Trustee Trezino presented departmental statistics before the hires: “Departmental statistics, they handled 715 blotter reports, conducted 131 traffic stops, issued a 114 traffic summonses, handled 3 motor vehicle accidents, responded to 25 check the welfare or assist citizens along with 15 medical and aided calls, and 12 arrests were executed.” Trezino also introduced the personnel actions and sought the board’s approval. The board moved and voted to approve both hires during the resolutions portion of the meeting.
The hires were presented as part of routine staffing and public‑safety maintenance; each appointment is subject to applicable civil‑service rules and any standard background or training prerequisites.
