Comprehensive plan hits milestone; building permits and revenues reported

Trustee Selye told the board the comprehensive plan update reached a milestone with a public workshop on Dec. 4 at Greenwood Lake Elementary, where about 40 people registered to provide input. The consultant (NPV) will tabulate roughly 460 survey responses; trustee Selye said the results will be summarized in a workshop appendix and will inform draft vision, goals and objectives that will be reviewed by the committee and the public.
In the building department report, Selye said December collections totaled $5,600 and the full year 2025 collections were just under $111,000. December activity included eight new permits (about $107,000 of work) and 18 permits closed; 17 certificates of compliance and one certificate of occupancy were issued.
Trustee Selye summarized next steps: the comprehensive planning committee will reconvene in early February to review lessons learned from the public workshop and draft language from the consultant, with additional public review to follow.
