Chief Iren said the department expects two part-time officers to resign in mid-2026 and that background investigations are underway for two candidates. He also described department efforts to enhance wellness training for staff and planned community programs.
Regarding winter safety, Chief Iren warned residents to exercise caution on the frozen lake: "As the lake freezes over, please exercise caution around the water. Stay off any ice that appears thinner or has cracks." Mayor Howley added a reminder to be careful around motorized vehicles and bubbler systems, noting the village will review bubbler locations in the coming year.
