Board members reviewed a packet of 36 policy revisions at the work session. The chair told trustees that most edits were minor (title or statute reference changes) and that 19 policies involve only those small adjustments, while 17 required individual review. "Most of those policies, 19 of them, involve simple changes in title or statute reference," the chair said.
The board agreed to hold off on four policies that raised questions and directed staff to bring the remaining items forward to the September regular meeting for a public hearing and vote if no substantive changes are needed. Trustees asked staff (Laurie) to provide statutory background documents to support the revisions and scheduled additional discussion in the next work session for the flagged items.
