Resident urges board to resolve delayed building-permit for block wall after bond paid

Eric Hastings, a resident of Edgemere Avenue, addressed the board during privilege of the floor saying the dais had voted unanimously twice to permit a block wall on his property but that he still cannot obtain a building permit despite posting a bond of "$14,000 plus" in October and completing other requested steps. Hastings said he had received no response to recent emails to the village attorney and asked the board to negotiate a reasonable solution.
Chair acknowledged the issue, said the village's attorney will follow up, and asked Village Attorney Brian to have counsel (Steve Honan) contact Hastings the next morning. The board agreed to make direct inquiries to resolve any outstanding insurance or paperwork questions.
