Trustee Vette told the board the lake‑weed management program has begun its process and public notices are out to residents; a lake survey will inform targeted herbicide application. "The lake weed management program is on track. The process has started. Public notices have gone out, so we are on track," Vette said.
The board and trustees described a volunteer manual harvest of water chestnuts planned for the weekend of May 30 (date to be confirmed) and asked for volunteers with kayaks, canoes or rowboats. Trustee Vette also outlined a geese control program and a local contact (Joyce) for reporting lone geese or nests; the trustees noted coordination with the Greenwood Lake Bi‑State Commission and the need for volunteers for lake surveys and manual removal efforts.
Trustee Selye and others thanked contractors and community groups for Bark Park repairs and said the lake work is being coordinated with state permitting and seasonal scheduling. The board encouraged residents interested in lake activities to contact the commission and the village for details.
