The village board approved resolution 80 authorizing the mayor to execute an agreement with Artesian Concrete Services to perform the first phase of concrete work on a proposed skate park and pump track. Mayor Howley said the project has been years in the making and that financing and grants have come together to allow the village to act as lead agency for environmental work.
"This is the 1st phase of the concrete," Howley told the board, noting the village would complete short environmental assessments and proceed under the committee overseeing the project. Trustees moved and seconded the resolution and recorded unanimous approval. The board said the village would manage grant administration and necessary environmental documentation prior to construction work starting.
