Mayor Holly Howley read the bid results into the record and said the award includes a change this year: "IWS is now going to handle our leaf removal, which the town of Warwick has handled the last couple of years," she said. Trustees moved and seconded the resolution and recorded unanimous approval.
The board said the award follows public bid openings and staff review; a formal agreement will be executed subject to the contract documentation. The mayor and trustees said they expect the new arrangement to streamline collection and that details of service schedules and billing will be shared with residents once the formal agreement is signed.
