The Wyoming County Human Services Committee on July 28 approved creation and filling of three part-time Meal Site Manager positions for the Office for the Aging. The positions are described as part time (6 hours per week) with a stated minimum wage of $16.00 per hour and an effective date of Aug. 7, 2026. Minutes note the positions were not budgeted originally but were anticipated to be budget neutral.
OFA staff presented monthly program figures: home-delivered meals (HDM) showed 307 active participants with 257 meals served the meeting day, and congregate site averages were reported (Arcade ~17/day; Pine Lounge, Cowlesville ~40/day; Breezeway Barn, Perry ~91/day). County Administrator S. Schrader offered to work with Director T. Phillips on a clearer presentation of month-to-month figures. The motion to create the positions was moved by Supervisor Perkins and recorded as carried (Ayes 6; Prior absent).
