The Sedan City Council convened at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 4 and approved the meeting agenda, the Oct. 21 minutes and payment of bills totaling $103,865.72 after separate motions that were each recorded as "motion carried." Adam Clark moved to approve the agenda; Kathy Miller seconded. Angela Evans moved to approve the minutes; Adam Clark seconded. Angela Evans later moved to approve payment of bills for $103,865.72; Pam Koerner seconded.
Beyond routine approvals, the council approved a set of maintenance and procurement items during the meeting. Motions carried to buy tires for a patrol vehicle ($1,196.52), purchase 8-inch pipe to keep on hand for sewer repairs ($3,524.08) and proceed with a foundation repair quote from Thrasher Foundation for $17,308.07. The council also accepted the resignation of a Guest Tax Board member and appointed a replacement.
