Brittany Bowe told the Salt Lake City watch party that finishing fourth in her Milan–Cortina races left her unexpectedly joyful and grateful for family and community support.
"I was filled with so much joy and gratitude the whole time," Bowe said, describing how competing with friends and family in the stands changed her experience compared with prior Games. She reflected on moving to Utah in 2010 and said she plans to be involved with Salt Lake City 2034 in some capacity.
Bowe urged local families to support youth winter sports and said her own path — playing multiple sports before specializing — shaped her athletic development. The remarks were part of a broader onstage conversation with other returning Olympians and city officials celebrating the athletes' return and encouraging community engagement ahead of 2034.
