District staff provided routine financial and safety updates to the Winnsboro ISD board on Jan. 24 and raised the prospect of increasing the district's monthly medical contribution for employees.
Aaron Nation presented a brief report on bills paid in December and the district's financial status for that period. Superintendent Dave Wilcox, covering for absent safety officer Steve Pinnell, reported that the Winnsboro High School exterior door check passed and that the district's Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) was submitted and approved. Crystal Chandler told trustees about options for increasing the district's monthly medical contribution and said further discussion would be needed before any change.
The minutes do not include budget figures for the proposed medical contribution change or projected financial impacts. The board did not take immediate action on the medical contribution; staff indicated additional discussion is required.
