The council voted to sponsor a Community Day at the municipal pool for $150. The motion was moved by Alderman Jeff Elliott, seconded by Alderman Doug Bergren, and passed 5–0 with one member absent.
Director Nacey Bandemer told the council the Davis Community Center has had a busy June and is winding up camps. Bandemer said the center will host a community day on July 25, run a July soccer camp for children ages 4 and up, and hold a fall Trivia Night on Oct. 3, 2026. She also thanked volunteers who maintain the Mini Food Center and Kunes Country Auto crew for weekly food pickups.
The sponsorship enables reduced-cost or free access for residents on the Community Day; staff and volunteers will coordinate logistics and promotion with the city.
