Davis Community Center to distribute newsletter, expand classes and run fall maintenance

Director Nancy Bandemer told the Mount Carroll City Council the Davis Community Center's newsletter the staff has been working on for several months "will go out in couple weeks," and that August calendars are printed and fall gym scheduling is filling up.
Bandemer said annual maintenance on all equipment is scheduled for Aug. 26, 2026. She also reported program updates: Jody Swiech is obtaining certification to teach step classes, which organizers expect to start in September; a recent soccer camp had 26 children in attendance; and Jack Kromer’s art class went well, with hopes to run an adult class in the fall. Maria Krull proposed hosting a Pampered Chef fundraiser with proceeds to benefit the Davis Community Center.
No formal funding requests were made to the council during the report.
