The Mount Carroll City Council voted unanimously July 28 to amend the minutes of its July 14 meeting to record an estimated $3,300 repair of a sewer camera.
Alderman Jeff Soenksen moved to approve the amended minutes; Alderman Jeff Elliott seconded. The roll call vote was 6–0 in favor. Alderman Amy Buss asked why the repair amount had not appeared in the original minutes; Clerk Dauphin said, "at the time we only had an estimate so I didn't include it." The amendment adds the Finance Committee's estimated repair cost to the record.
The change clarifies the council record and ensures the estimate is linked to the Finance Committee discussion. No further action was taken on the repair at the July 28 meeting.
