Summary
Selectboard members reported reconnaissance photos of village and rural cemeteries and discussed using volunteers and local suppliers to repair fences; initial material-only estimates ranged from roughly $2,000–$3,000 for some sections to under $10,000 overall with volunteer labor.

Committee members gave an extended update on cemetery maintenance work, volunteer recruitment and fencing options. A board member said volunteers could do much of the labor if materials were purchased locally; "You're looking at it ... I would say, you know, that would probably be, I don't know, 5,000, but I'm guessing we would have to look in materials," the committee member said when discussing likely material costs.
The committee has taken photos and prepared initial estimates for the village and rural cemeteries and plans to contact the Vermont Cemetery Association about potential volunteer support next summer. Board members suggested recruiting volunteers through the fire station and checking suppliers in the region to reduce material costs. Staff noted the town already has a vendor account that might yield discounts.
