Winnsboro ISD board holds public hearing on 2023–24 academic performance report

The Winnsboro Independent School District Board of Trustees convened a special meeting at 11:45 a.m. Feb. 17, 2025, to receive the district's 2023–2024 Texas Annual Academic Performance Report, President Brandon Green said. The meeting notice was posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act (Texas Government Code Chapter 551).
Leigh Ann Chilton presented the TAPR to the board and "reviewed the required reporting aspects of the report," according to the meeting record. The board recorded that there were not any requests to address the board or Mrs. Chilton regarding the TAPR during the public hearing. The special session, held in the WISD Administration Conference Room at 505 S. Chestnut St., Bldg C, Winnsboro, adjourned at 11:55 a.m.
The record lists Brandon Green as president and Duncan McAdoo as secretary; other trustees in attendance included Brian Busby, Chip Brown, Billy Saucier, Kristie Amason and Jay Murdock. Superintendent Dave Wilcox was present. Approximately 10 guests attended. The district did not record any formal motions, votes, public comments, or follow-up directions in the minutes for this hearing.
