Residents report long‑term parking and late parties on Weyant Drive; Board advises contacting police

Two residents who live on Weyant Drive raised quality‑of‑life concerns during public comment at the Aug. 3 meeting: one about long‑term parking and another about a house that hosts loud late‑night parties with what a resident described as the smell of weed.
"These parties go well past 11:00 pm," said Rachelle Wernick of 37 Weyant Drive. Resident Debbie Bienenfeld of 5 Weyant Drive complained about long‑term parking on the street and was told to report occurrences to Village Hall so staff can respond.
The Board did not vote on enforcement measures at the meeting. Trustees told speakers they could call the Nassau County Police regarding late‑night disturbances and that Village Hall could be contacted about parking violations so the village can dispatch staff to investigate.
