County awards $101,385 contract for new wind cones at Fayette County Airport

The board approved a contract June 15 with J. Ranck Electric, Inc. to provide new lighted wind cones for runways 5 and 23 at Fayette County Airport for $101,385.20.
"At the contract price of $101,385.20 to be completed within 30 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued," the clerk read during the motion. Commissioner Tony Anderson moved to award the contract and Commissioner Donald L. Fleak seconded; the roll call vote was unanimous.
The contract requires the contractor to furnish labor, materials, tools and necessary utility and transportation services in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Brandstetter Carroll Inc. The motion to enter the contract was recorded with no dissent.
