Commissioners approve vehicle purchase, consultant contract and D.J.F.S. travel requests

At the June 29 meeting the Fayette County Board of Commissioners approved several operational items: purchase of a used vehicle for the Maintenance Department at a cost not to exceed $25,000; consulting assistance for the Fayette County Zoning Official from Morgan Pentzer at a cost of $3,000 (term retroactive to May 14 through August 14, 2026); and multiple travel approvals for county staff.
Travel approvals included Sandra Wilson, Fayette County Clerk of Courts, to attend an Ohio Clerk of Courts Association Committee meeting in Columbus (estimated $80), and Dept. of Job & Family Services travel requests including a trip for Marcie Hamilton with expenses not to exceed $1,426.76. Emergency travel for Becca Ratliff was also recorded and authorized. All items were approved by unanimous roll call.
