Council member Kravitz asked for an update on the Sunnyside Street project during council business. City engineering staff said the project has two consultants — one handling a Brentwood/Sunnyside intersection design tied to stormwater and another handling the complete roadway design — and staff is working to merge the two into a coordinated plan.
A preliminary internal drawing is under review and staff is targeting the third week of August for a public community workshop to present designs and gather feedback, staff said. The workshop is intended to allow residents to see the proposed stormwater solutions, roadway alignments and schedule for construction.
Staff committed to providing a firm workshop date within the week.
