Committee weighs capital-improvement match after funds earmarked for Public Safety Building

Tosca Smith said that match requirements are common for grants and that the committee had discussed the issue with the Selectboard. "After meeting with the Selectboard on Monday we feel that there will be adequate money available for a match should it become needed," she said. Members noted they will confirm availability before committing funds and will report back after the April 22 preservation meeting.
The minutes indicate the concern arose from combining capital-improvement planning with fire-inspector recommendations and a grant application; the committee attached a list of needed repairs and shared it with the Selectboard at the board's April 6 meeting.
