The Selectboard was briefed that the municipal wastewater project’s planned bid schedule — with an advertised bid on April 7, a pre-bid meeting on April 22 and an opening on May 6 — has been paused on the State’s recommendation. The pause is intended to improve coordination of plan approvals and permit releases and to achieve concurrence from WID/RD before bidding.
Chair Charlie Hancock said he will continue to work with State staff and the project engineers to expedite approvals and sequencing. No new bid dates were set in the minutes; the project remains in a waiting status until outstanding approvals and permit sequencing are resolved.
