Public Works updates occupied a substantial portion of the meeting. The board certified compliance with the Town Road and Bridge Standards and Network Inventory (motion by Dennis Himes; seconded by Daniel Khan; approved 5-0) and approved the Annual Financial Plan for Town Highways after review of the numbers (motion by Dennis; seconded by Daniel; approved 5-0).
The board also adopted a Better Back Roads (BBR) grant agreement to fund cleaning of ditches and improvements on Amidon Road (motion by Daniel; seconded by Dennis; approved 5-0). The road crew reported active culvert replacement work on Amidon Road, pending Hill West culvert replacement, and a culvert reset on West Hill Road. Mark noted the new Western Star truck will fit through the town’s covered bridges, a practical confirmation for upcoming equipment use.
