Solano County Sheriff's Office names employees of the year, highlights major investigations

The Solano County Sheriff's Office presented several employees of the year during the recognition ceremony, honoring staff across dispatch, corrections, investigations and supervision.
Undersheriff Bill Hornbrook described Employee of the Year David Hyder ("DJ Dave") for his volunteer contributions to department events and his work on building and trades projects. He praised Dispatcher of the Year Destiny Harriman for overtime work, flexibility and leadership in morale activities. Correctional Officer of the Year Bruce Walburn was recognized for serving as officer in charge for more than 20 shifts across three facilities and for training contributions.
Deputy of the Year Dalton Reichen was singled out for investigative leadership. Hornbrook said Reichen "led and supported numerous complex investigations resulting in multiple arrests, search warrants, and significant seizures of firearms, narcotics, and illicit proceeds," and described a multi-agency operation involving over 100 personnel that resulted in 20 arrests, 55 firearms seized and about $244,000 in illicit cash. Supervisor of the Year Clinton Gibson was honored for mentoring and coordinating training programs including the JTO program.
