County establishes contract with Safeware for public‑safety equipment through 2028

Project Services recommended establishing a contract with Safeware Incorporated using an Omnia Partners national contract (4400008468) to provide public‑safety and emergency preparedness equipment and related services.
Joe Thomas said the Safeware team supports equipment needs across law enforcement, fire and public works and noted benefits such as no minimum quantity and no freight charges for non‑hazmat shipments. "Safeware Incorporated was awarded a competitively solicited contract which established a national contract for public safety and emergency preparedness equipment and services," Thomas said. The board voted to establish the contract, which is good through Sept. 30, 2028.
