The board approved purchasing a new sewer billing program from Williamson for a one-time startup cost of $8,700 and an annual fee thereafter of $2,500. Officials said the town's existing software is being discontinued and the purchase will modernize billing, payment and online services for sewer customers.
To cover the start-up cost the board authorized a resolution transferring $7,961 from Sewer Districts 1 and 2 to the appropriate fund code; officials said prior appropriations covered part of the cost and only the balance was required from the districts. The board also authorized a town official (Josh) to sign the Williamson contract on the town's behalf.
