A resident requested removal of a rotted, leaning streetlight pole on Hunt Road and said National Grid would not act until the town provided written authorization.
"So you'll be in touch with me? Because National Grid won't do anything until they have something in writing from you," the resident said during public comment. The board agreed to provide a waiver for the resident to sign so National Grid can remove the light and the resident may install alternative outdoor lighting if desired.
The board asked staff to prepare the required written release and to follow up with National Grid to schedule the removal once documentation is in place.
