The commission approved the proposed seawall reconstruction, elevation and relocation at 14 Compass Drive (SE832534) after the applicant submitted the final site plan with requested revisions. Mark Burgess of Shorefront Consulting presented the updated plan, which included a slightly lowered bulkhead elevation and a planting and monitoring plan provided by the consultant Lynn.
Commissioners asked staff to include DMF (Division of Marine Fisheries) conditions and monitoring language; staff requested that the patio remain dry‑laid, that removed stones remain in place initially and that annual monitoring reports be submitted to verify plant survival. The commission moved and approved the project with those special conditions by voice vote.
The recorded vote was favorable and staff will ensure the conditions are reflected in the final order and monitoring schedule.
