The resident said he was disappointed and believed the town historian had led them to the property.
Later in the meeting, during board remarks, the chair offered an apology: "I do wanna just take the opportunity, Mister Belden, and apologize for any trespassing that happened on behalf of the town," acknowledging the resident’s concern. The board did not take formal remedial action on the record at the meeting; the matter was acknowledged and the apology recorded for minutes.
