South Cle Elum schedules townwide water main replacement to start May 4

Superintendent Matt told the council that the TownWide Water Main Replacement Project is scheduled to begin May 4, 2026, with working hours Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The project start date and working hours were listed under unfinished business as confirmed by the council.
Matt also reported ongoing winter clean-up and alley repairs and identified a solar-powered speed-limit sign available for about $600 online to replace a broken sign. Mayor DeVere advised staff to check with the county to see whether surplus equipment is available before purchasing a new sign.
