Town Attorney Jeff Slothower explained proposed updates to franchise agreements for NFC Northwest, LLC (Ordinance No. 669) and Ziply Fiber Pacific, LLC (Ordinance No. 670). Following his explanation, Council member Ditsworth moved "to delay adopting until more facts and information are found concerning the differences in the old verses the updated Ordinance No. 669," a motion seconded by McGuire; council applied the same delay to Ordinance No. 670 and both motions passed by majority vote.
The council did not adopt either ordinance and requested additional information about the substantive differences between the existing and proposed franchise language. Attorney Slothower said he would gather the necessary details for a future meeting; no revised adoption date was provided at the meeting.
